'Onsbank Home' is a conceptual and spatial proposal for the Home of an alternative and forward-thinking institution: ONSbank is engaged in re-organising in a radical way the power relations and interactions between debtors and creditors. Now, their activities need a physical place where to happen. Instead of an institutional, hierarchical and formal building as traditional banks we conceptualize Onsbank as a space where the relation between debtor and creditor can be more informal, where abstract bonds are converted into a more familiar and flexible environment. A home where creditors and debtors meet. To organize the program for ONSbank, we draw from the rich history and traditions of housing, focusing on the powerful relations between its environments, objects and rituals. The Home is made of a combination of devices, that are able to organise a rich nuance of collective, intimate, extroverted and introverted situations and activities. Furniture, shapes, surfaces, tools, atmospheres with a performative character, claim the direct engagment, physical and pshycical, of the “inhabitants”, setting up a framework of use and inhabitiation.
